The GardePro X70 Pro GPS Live is built for anyone who wants to watch a feeding site, a stand or a remote property without driving out to it. When it detects motion it sends you a photo or video over 4G. Whenever you like, you can open a live view in the GardePro app to see what is happening right now. A built-in GPS module shows where each camera is, and instead of eight AA batteries it runs on a replaceable 7800 mAh lithium-ion battery that you can charge at home via USB-C or in the field with a solar panel.

How it works in the field

The camera takes photos of up to 48 MP and video up to 1296p with sound. You can use motion trigger, time-lapse or both. Three PIR sensors together cover 120°: the two side sensors wake the camera before an animal reaches the centre of the frame, so the trigger time is around 0.1 s. That means fewer empty frames and more animals in the picture.

At night, invisible 940 nm IR LEDs light the scene up to about 30 m. Because they do not glow, neither game nor unwanted visitors notice the camera. The IP66 housing withstands rain, snow and frost from −20 °C.

Live view and GPS

The camera connects automatically to the strongest available 4G network. When a motion alert arrives, you can open live view in the GardePro app, request the HD photo or the full video and change settings remotely. Live view is not a permanent stream like an IP camera: it only uses extra data and battery when you actually start it.

The camera reports its GPS position to the app every 1, 3 or 7 days. With several cameras spread over a large area you find each one quickly, and if someone moves a camera, you know where it was.

7800 mAh battery and solar power

The replaceable 7800 mAh lithium-ion battery is included. Charge it via USB-C, or charge it inside the camera through the 12 V / 1 A DC socket (5.5 × 2.1 mm) with a power adapter or solar panel. GardePro SP300, SP350, SP1000 and SP1100 panels are compatible. With a panel the camera can run for a long time without a visit, which is ideal for a fixed location. Unlike cheap AA batteries, the lithium battery holds its voltage, so PIR and IR work reliably in the cold.

Set-up and storage

The 2.4″ colour screen helps you aim the camera and adjust settings on site. You need an SD card of up to 512 GB, which is not included. Mount the camera with the supplied strap and screw the 4G antenna onto the top of the housing.

FAQ

Is a SIM card included?

No. This is the unlocked version: insert a nano SIM from any operator that offers 4G coverage and mobile data at your location. We are happy to help you with the APN settings.

Do I have to pay a subscription for the app?

No. There is no mandatory subscription and no paid add-ons. The cloud, video sending, HD requests and live view are free. You only pay your mobile operator for the data you use.

Is live view always on?

No. You start live view in the app when you need it. Otherwise the camera triggers on motion and sends photos or videos. Live view uses more data and battery.

Which solar panel should I choose?

The X70 Pro charges through its 12 V DC socket, so it works with the GardePro SP300, SP350, SP1000 and SP1100 panels. For a fixed spot with frequent triggers or regular live view, a larger panel keeps the battery topped up more reliably.

How often does the camera report its GPS position?

You can set the GPS update to every 1, 3 or 7 days. The position is shown on the map in the GardePro app.

Can I use the camera to monitor property?

Yes, many customers use it for cabins, plots and remote buildings. Please make sure you use the camera in line with local law, especially where people may be recorded.
